Bangalore

Bangalore would have been the first city I would be going outside of Kolkata in India. I was there to be with my partner and her family - a place she spent her first 18 years of growth. Obviously I had to carry and capture the state - also known as the ‘Silicon Valley of India’. Well yes, it does have many tech hubs and ‘startups’ are in the mouth of almost every man and woman. Landing and headed straight to a Idli shop to belt down plate of dosa and idli - I remember how it was very different to Kolkata. I had many more plates of Idlis and Dosas - to be honest nobody does breakfast better than Indians in general.

The images you see here are in the follow places:
- KR Market, Commercial Street, KR market (I loved this place so much that I visited it twice), Church Street, Nandi Hills.

  • Also the long-exposure shots was in astrophotography camp located just across the border in Tamil Nadu.

Bangalore had many firsts for me and one of which was actually knowing somebody in a new city to show me around. My partner was my guide and she did a brilliant job. From the sunrise in Nandi hills to watching the starry night in Tamil Nadu to the hustling and bustle of the church, commercial streets and of course KR Market. I loved every bit of it - can’t wait to make it my annual destination to not only visit my new family and friends but also photograph deeper into each of these places. As an introvert, I usually keep to myself but I was met with kind people everywhere that made me break out of my shell more. I felt loved by everyone and there was comfort knowing I was going to come back again very soon.

To my ‘Sundara Havana Bengaluru’, I’ll be back soon.

P.S I miss Corner house, somebody open an outlet in Singapore.
