My Singapore

Singapore has been my home for most of my lifetime. Its a place I grew up in, had my formative years, my teenage years, as well as currently experiencing the start of my adulting life. I even served in the military. It's were most of my friends come from, it's safe, secure, stable. It's often considered the “Switzerland of Asia” (Without the beautiful Swiss cold weather obviously). That being said, being in Singapore signals to me 'Work' or for the past 18 years 'studying'. I would say I've been to most parts of Singapore at least once, but the bulk of the time is spent working and being productive or economically trying to be efficient. My weekends are usually spent recuperating, flipping through Photo-books, preparing myself for the week ahead. And I think the pandemic actually helped me change this approach of just looking it as a place of purely work. There are indeed sights to see, places to explore, photographs to be taken and the onus will be on me if a place where I lived the majority of my life - I don't explore it enough. I'll try and photograph the neighbourhoods as much as I can and see Singapore beyond 'Work'. They will be a mixture of film and digital photographs.
